When I was still a school boy in 1982 my hobby was drawing pictures and I was clever at it. During my school time, I took the lead to publish a school magazine for the creations of fellow student and I was the editor, which inspired me to come to this field. After school time, as my art works were published in various newspapers and magazines, I was invited by a leading news paper publishing firm to work as an artist and lay-out designer. With that experience from 1992 to 1996, I became the artist and lay-out designer in
a leading firm publishing various children books, novels later from 1996 to 2000 I did the same job in another leading publication firm.
During this period, as I had to do the creations which would bring only monitory value but not the creativity for the children I decided to start my own publication "Nipuna" through which I could send to children more valuable creations in 2001. It enabled me to get more opportunity to go among the children with more effective creations and it made me not only an experienced artist but also a good writer for children's books including educational  publications.
At present, with our limited resources we bring important messages to children with internationally influenced stories and art styles of different countries for the mental, intellectual an spiritual development of the children. Now as a volunteer resourceful person. I am the website designer of Dhaham Sevana Singitho, Children's development foundation, telecast on the National Television. It's patrons Ven, Suduhumpola Wimalasara Thero and Ph D Norsaki Suga who admires our publications in ready to help improve the quality of our creations to take them to the international standard, in future.
Now my future ambition is to convey something valuable to our children hand in hand with Dhaham Sevena Singiththo, the tv programme of childrens development foundation.
